A regular roundtable discussion on the topic “Combating Religious Extremism and Terrorism” was held at Urganch Innovation University.
During the event, the Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work, Associate Professor N. Matyakubov, the Rector’s Advisor G. Matsapayev, and the Prevention Inspector, Major M. Berdiyev, emphasized that combating religious extremism and terrorism is an important responsibility of every citizen. They highlighted the significance of protecting young people from harmful ideas spread through the internet and social media, strengthening critical thinking, and improving legal awareness. Special attention was also paid to protecting youth from offenses such as drug abuse and other social vices.
In addition, the speakers stressed the importance of vigilance and responsibility to prevent young people from falling under the influence of terrorism, religious extremism, and alien ideologies. Particular focus was given to the issue of cybercrime, which is becoming increasingly urgent today, including protecting funds stored on bank plastic cards from criminal encroachments.
