A roundtable discussion on the topic “Combating Corruption and the Responsibility and Preparedness of Youth in Emergency Situations” was held at Urganch Innovation University.
The event featured speeches by the Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work, Associate Professor N. Matyakubov, the Rector’s Advisor G. Matsapayev, and the Head of the University’s Anti-Corruption Compliance Control Department, F. Jumabayev.
The speakers emphasized that there can be no development where corruption exists, as corruption undermines transparency, and in the absence of transparency, growth and development inevitably slow down. It was also noted that the presence of corruption in the education system may gradually weaken students’ self-confidence, motivation, and desire to acquire knowledge, despite their aspirations to become qualified professionals serving society in the future. In this regard, the responsibility of every individual in preventing corruption was strongly underlined.
