A roundtable discussion on the topic "Combating Cybercrime" was organized at Urgench Innovation University.

The event was attended by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Khorezm Regional Internal Affairs Department M. Khudayberganov and M. Khudayberganov, as well as representatives of the Department for Combating Crimes in the Field of Information Technologies — Sh. Rozmatov and T. Rahimberganov, and the university’s prevention inspector, Major M. Berdiyev. They provided detailed information about cybercrimes, particularly fraud schemes carried out via mobile phones.

In particular, during the event, students were informed about:

• methods of ensuring security on mobile devices;
• measures to protect personal data;
• safety rules when using the internet and social networks;
• practical recommendations to avoid falling victim to fraud.

Additionally, students were given practical instructions on installing special security software on mobile devices and using them effectively.

Undoubtedly, organizing such events plays an important role in improving students’ knowledge of cybersecurity and protecting them from various threats.
